Victorine Meurent is an 11:00 minute video installation that transports an openly lesbian artist of the nineteenth century into the twenty-first century. The work tells the story of Victorine Meurent as if she were forty years old and looking back upon her youth. The video reflects upon Meurent’s friendship with the painter Édouard Manet, her role as a model for the painting Olympia, Meurent's own painting career and her relationship with her lover.
