“And when he feels me void of existence it’s of his he would have me void, and vice versa, mad, mad, he’s mad.” -Samuel Beckett (from Text for Nothing 4)
April 8 from 7-10pm and April 30 from 9:30am-12:30pm ROOMS presented TEXT FOR NOTHING 4 a prose fragment by Samuel Beckett (“Waiting for Godot”) featuring Todd Frugia and the voices of Ashby Taggart, Adam Todd and Rebecca Pyles.
Adapted for performance by Todd Frugia and Andrew Manley, TEXT FOR NOTHING 4 allows audiences to peer into the void and bare witness to a struggle of syntax and self. A form, a figure, a “character” trades accusations, questions, and contemplations with a bevy of disembodied voices. It’s a strange and utterly unique performance exploring the work of this great 20th century writer.
ROOMS Productions is Marrakesh &Todd Frugia. ROOMS is dedicated to exploring and strengthening the relationship between artist and audience by experimenting with the creative process and expanding the vocabulary of language and experience through video and live performance.
