In the performance, I slowly pushed an egg with my mouth or nose across the front entrance of the Art gallery of Ontario (Canada). After about 45 minutes of pushing the egg, I sat on the cement and I pierced small holes in the top and bottom of the egg with a sewing needle. I then drank the raw egg yoke. After I swallowed the egg, I stood up and walked away from the building. In this piece I explore work themes of sexuality, preciousness, fragility, vulnerability and consumption.

You asked, why I performed Performance with Egg? That is like asking me why I have an art practice? Why I make art? Simply, it is about communication and connecting with people. One of my chief inspirations for performance art is the FLUXUS street art of the 1960s and 1970s, which emphasized the accessibility of art for a wider, more general public.
