The second edition of the successful International Theater Summer School in Berlin with Nicole Kehrberger!

Nicole Kehrberger is an award winning actress, acrobat, aerial artist and dancer on international stages. She combines all those disciplines in her teaching and on stage.
She studied dance at Bewegungsart (Freiburg), circus skills at the Scuola Teatro Dimitri (Switzerland) and acting at École Philippe Gaulier in London. She did workshops with Ariane Mnouchkine of Théâtre du Soleil, Complicity Theater, DV8 and Circus Space in London.
In addition to being an assistant to Philippe Gaulier and teacher at his school in London and Paris for over 13 years, she has taught acting, acrobatics, dance, vocal and movement all over the world: Switzerland, Sweden, England, Germany, Italy, France, Brazil, Canada, Spain, Portugal, Israel and many others.

This year, the International Theater Summer School will be structured in four parts:

MASKPLAY AND CHARACTER: 03.07.2012 - 07.07.2012

MELODRAMA: 09.07.2012 - 13.07.2012

GREEK TRAGEDY: 16.07.2012 - 27.07.2012 (mo-fr)

CLOWN OUR INNER IDIOT: 29.07.2012 - 08.08.2012 (su-th and sa-we)

During the quest for the individual beauty of each student she tosses etiquette, theories, styles and masks into the wind. In every student she is looking for his candidness, vulnerability and his fragility, which contributes to the discovery of an open, inventive and individual play.

The brilliant actor is sensitive and shows his humanity. He is playing with ease and joy, he is playing with his heart and soul and achieves his personal freedom on stage“.


Each of the courses starts with two hours of movement including: dance, acrobatics, stretching, Shiatsu and Feldenkrais. Classes will be held in English. Nicole can translate into German, French, Italian and Spanish.
