CREW, as a performing arts company, has a long-standing experience in the exploration of the newest media technology in the context of contemporary theatre. With Terra Nova they want to share the accumulated know-how and artistic insights with wider audiences across Europe. In making Terra Nova, they want to raise questions about the role of new technologies in contemporary society and offer a framework for reflection, discussion and stimulate exchange of know-how and experience. In this framework, CREW is currently documenting and publishing their creative process on a special blog: .

CREW is a company that operates on the border between art and science, between performance art and new technology. Artist Eric Joris develops his live-art projects in close collaboration with a collective of artists and scientists. Electronic and digital media form the basis of a unique artistic way of thinking and the engine for aesthetic experiences and reflection. This results in hybrid performances that question and redefine commonly accepted performative parameters.
