- CHOKRA is a performance artist from the Trucial States, formally known as the United Arab Emirates. His multi-dimensional performances incorporate multi-lingual utterances conducted in Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, Pashto, Bengali and English, live surrealistic visuals combined with digital and analogue sound, an algorithmic hyper-processing of augmented reality via custom software and a heightened build of the theatrical with transnational costume. CHOKRA's performances also accelerate the sensory with an epic propagation of aromatic scent, crude oil, flares, neon pyromania, brilliant hues in exploding pigments, ground spices, crushed gold, Emirati sand and powdered chillies.
