CEYDA CABA (Cey’)
Cey began dancing at the age of six with classical ballet. After twelve years, she began to work on improvising and modern dance. In 2000 she graduated from Izmir Dokuz Eylul Art Faculty, Fashion and Accessory Design department. Besides from 1994 to 2000 she was the lead dancer and choreographer of the faculty dance group MDT and she continued to perform upto 2009. While she was a student she began painting as well. Following years she was the guest dancer for International Dance Festivals in Ankara for several times.
One turning point of her life was to be the art director of the documentary named “The Lost Songs of Anatolia”. Art direction was a roof for her to combine different diciplines.
She was also the designer of Turkey & Super League Trophies for Football Federation of Turkey.
With the deep love of visual and performance arts, in 2009 she stayed at London, and studied Art Direction, Costume Design, and Music at Central Saint Martins Collage of Art and Design. Between 2009-2015 she worked at several commercial and promotional film projects with Ares Film, Iz tv, Language of Forms and Air Collective as art director and curator.
Besides she combines her projects with music as composer,singer and lyrics author. (She is the lead singer of the band named Romantic Dolls)
She continues embraking on self-initiated projects and collaborations.
