In May 2009, Lorella Zanardo, published a documentary, "Il corpo delle donne".Got a big visibility and a necessary book came out.Both, documentary and book, have being a bible for my work and research, and especially as an italian woman. - Born in Florence, Italy in 1984, migrate to The Netherlands in 2004 to study Modern dance at Codarts Rotterdam Dance Academy.In 2008 she got her diploma at the performing department. In the same year she started practicing Photography and creating the bases for what in September 2010 will become Stichting Apes Container- Movement for Primitive Approach, a collective of international artists of different disciplines, of which she is a cofounder. After her studies she started creating her own works, participating in festival and exposition. She is working as a freelance photographer; teaching and choreographing, for both amateurs and professionals. She is based in Rotterdam. Her work is based on interdisciplinarity of different art forms; combining movements with photography and electronic sound. In the last period she is busy searching over the role of femininity in the contemporary society and on the scene of modern dance.

The art community of The Netherlands is protesting to save the future.
Enormous cut have being proposed for 2013 subsidies distribution; no production houses will survive for the dance community.
I invite dance artists and artists of any field, to support their collegues from all over the world. This is a political tendency that is spreading in many countries, is up to us to demonstrate that art is important for the future of any culture, any population.

“FEMMEHOMME”
Is a performative installation conceived by Valeria Cosi.
A room is dominated by an empty table and the flickering of a TV, screening excerpts of various Italian programs.
A woman observes and absorbs these images. Slowly she starts to imitate the kind of femininity displayed on the screen. She now reveals her look to…
