Thomas Johannnsen is a performer and performance maker with many years of experience in making interdisciplinary work that dances around image-rich theatre, concerts of the mind, audience-performer entanglement and improvisation.
He leads the ongoing vocal instant composition project The Genetic Choir (www.genetic-choir.org) and facilitates improvisation research via the platform and website Interdisciplinary Instant Composition (www.instantcomposition.com).
His text theatre background, dance and vocal training, visual/outdoor-theatre experience and the numerous projects with musicians, dancers, video and performance artists, puppeteers and actors have made him well-equipped for facilitating cross-disciplinary work and for directing and coaching people with a big variety of performing backgrounds.
