Bio
Lucio Agra - Born in Recife, Brazil, grew up in Petropolis, Rio de Janeiro, nowadays settled in São Paulo. PhD in Communication and Semiotics at Catholic University of Sao Paulo, where even today he works as Professor at Commuication and Arts of the Body, Dept of Body Languages. As a performer, he developed research on the work of Kurt Schwitters (1887-1948), presenting his "Ursonate" in 2000, 01, 02, 03, 07 and 08. Developed in parallel, a mix of performance, sound poetry and free improvisation with musical groups (de)mo(li)tion (Paris, Montevideo and Sao Paulo, 2007/08) and Orchestra Descarrego. Author of Selva Bamba (poems, 1994), Historia da Arte do seculo 20 - Ideias e Movimentos (essay, 2006) and Monstrutivismo - reta e curva das vanguardas (essay, 2010). Prepares a new book on contemporary performance. As a poet, published several texts in many digital magazines. His work was presented in Epoetry 2011, together wiht his part in the international music band Group uSurp.

Guru Lectures is a series of nowadays 3 performances which discuss the range between personal memories and biographical questions and anthropological visions.

The figure of a Tropical Jesus teach the audience how to prepare a "churrasco" with real meat, whereas use a verbal language feed by 3 idioms: spanish, english and portuguese (the 3 languages of the Encuentro).
