After obtaining an MA in Arts and Culture at Maastricht University, Lonneke has worked in the areas of festival and theatre production (Zomerzone.06, Het Huis van Bourgondie, Jan van Eyck Academy), director’s assistance (Tg. Het Vervolg) and marketing (Cultureel Erfgoed Noord-Holland, Music podium Victorie, Tg. Fantasten, Bekijk ‘t a.o.). In 2008 her love of dramaturgy and writing led her to the MA International Performance Research at the Universities of Amsterdam and Warwick. Her thesis - Theatre as a Vortex of Behaviour - was awarded the national Theatre Thesis Prize of the Theatre Institute Netherlands and has been published with Tectum Verlag. Lonneke has also been involved in international projects (www.thememorybooth.org, www.transnationaldialogues.eu, dramaturgy for Motionhouse Dance Company, UK). Currently she is writing her PhD at the Amsterdam School for Cultural Analysis focusing on the EU as a curator in the European theatre world.
