I'm a multidisciplinary artist from Montreal and I completed a degree in Intermedia arts with a minor in religion. I'm also a massage therapist and I'm doing performative arts and dance.I mainly train in Butoh but also in improvisation where I mix different type of body languages. I work in many other fields as, directing experimental films, building installations and participating in noise music performances. I worked with Atsushi Takenouchi, Vangeline and Charles Koroneho. I founded a Butoh laboratory group recently in Montreal coached by Paul Ibey.
In my work, I'm mainly attracted to the dimension of Unheimlich, the strangeness that we meet when confronted with a surreal reality. As I also studied religions, my practice is oriented towards rituals, mythologies and archetypes. I can travel from the dream world into the world of death or from one of cosmogony. I'm really interested in the notion of sacred and of the Sublime and what it means in our days. I'm working especially on the construction of evil in society and how, through history, we tried to expel the dimension of violence, which is part of Human, into figures and myths.
