Julischka Stengele (*1982) is a multidisciplinary German artist whose main artistic mediums are performance and photography. She lives and works in Berlin and Vienna.
Since 2007, Stengele participated in various group shows in Germany (and once in Canada) with her artistic works and presented her performances internationally, including Mexico, Poland and the US. She first studied Visual Communication/Photography at the Design department of the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, from where she graduated in 2010. Parallel, in the beginning of 2008, she took up self-educational studies in performance art – supplemented by seminars and mentoring of well-known artists. The same year she founded the "Bureau for Bodily Affairs" (Amt für Körperschaften) – a curatorial project, which is devoted to artistic positions that require a physical expression. Moreover, she participates since 2003 as a model in the work of other artists and organises exhibitions and art projects. Currently, Stengele studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna.
