Bio
Founder & choreographer of Jaxon Movement Arts. Jacqueline holds a B.F.A. in Dance from The University of Iowa. A native of Chicago, Ms. Stewart has performed for companies: Thodos Dance Chicago, The Seldoms and various artists. Stewart presented works four years through Thodo's “NewDances" performance series, as well as for Poetic Rebound Company, Open House Dance Chicago, Dance Chance Chicago, Chicago Takes Off, Harvest Dance Festival Chicago and Duets for my Valentine. In 2010, Stewart premiered her work “It’s Not Enough to Close Your Eyes for The Open Space Dance Project, which became the Grand Prize Winner of The A.W.A.R.D. Show! 2010: Chicago, granted by The Joyce Theatre Foundation of NY. Ms. Stewart has recently presented/performed her work at the Joyce Soho, Jennifer Muller: The Works Foundation, Alvin Ailey Citigroup, and APAP 2012 in New York.
