- I’m an interdisciplinary artist and producer based in Lisbon.
I like to use different types of media into an integrated, “somatic-based” creative research where the process is in itself, the “creation”.
In my work, I explore the “here/now”-”presence/environment” through “non actively performative actions” where being is a statement in itself, and where actions or movements do not serve the purpose of illustration, but rather of turning this “being” visible, and communicative.
I’m interested in the various layers, bonds, and connections that place us as breathing beings, in a given environment at a given time, in the “now” and the “here”, in the sensation of lingering infinity in the ephemeral of the moment, the turning point, the “in between” of movement.
I have recently been exploring this within the relations between suspension, echo, rhythm, and balance.
Aside my recent solo work, I also have participated, performed, and worked as a performer or producer with artists such as João Fiadeiro, Bobby Baker, AjayKumar, Deej Fabyc, Gary Stevens, Zineb Zedira, Anne Bean, Ligia Soares, Yumiko Yoshioka, Mem Morrison, Curious, Carina Diepens, Isabel Valverde, Diana Kubicz, Shabnam Shabazy, Lucy Panesar, David Rosenberg, Yurena A de Dios, Pedro Antunes, Sabrina Marsili.
I have presented and toured live performances in London, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh, Berlin, Poznan, Trollathän, Aveiro, Paris and Lisbon and in venues such as CUBE Microplex, Duckie, Area10, Instituto Franco-Português, CEM, Beaconsfield Gallery, la Miroiterie or the SHUNT Vaults and in festivals such as the Deviant Festival, Dimanche Rouge, the Camberwell Arts Festival or Ladyfest Leeds.
