Geneva Skeen's experiments in performance, composition, and writing toy with nostalgia and memory, improvisation and spatial relationships. She directs a chorus of women for the avante-garage jazz-punk massive KILLSONIC, and has performed at REDCAT, LACMA, GLOW Festival, LACE, 323Projects, and the NELA Artwalk. She has studied Critical Theory and Performance at Occidental College and NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. She is also the Gallery and Programs coordinator at LACE (Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions), where she has co-produced numerous exhibitions and performance events including GUTTED 2010 and 2011, Wintering (featuring Claire Cronin and Julia Holter), So Funny it Hurts, and the upcoming Los Angeles Goes Live exhibition as part of the Getty PST program (Fall 2011).
