Bio
Master in Philosophy and Dramaturgy, University of Aarhus, Denmark and University of Gent, Belgium. Born in Antwerp, Belgium and moved to Denmark in 1998.
Composes electronic music, makes music videos and creates concert performance art often through interdisciplinary collaborations.

Initiated “Chez Debs” which now is a female cross-disciplinary art collective. They’ve just received support from the Danish Arts Council to develop the Chez Debs club performance. The performance addresses questions about the aesthetics of production, performance and reception.

Through combining club music and performance art - and performing for audiences at music and night clubs - the spontaneous feedback mechanism between the performers and the "party"audience is used as a creative impulse. Shared bodies, rhythm and spaces.

Deborah Vlaeymans is also part of “The Laboratory” in Aarhus (a forum for performing arts' research and development) and a board member of the Danish organization “Independent Performing Artists”.
