A veteran of the Navy Brian H. Buck started dancing at Essex Community College. He earned his bachelors at UMD College Park. Brian has performed with Seize the Day; Mixed Abilities Company, Spiral Dance Company, This Body This Earth, Daniel Burkholder/The Playground, Jane Jarardi, and Updraft aerial dance company as well as in the works of Ed Tyler. Brian has studied the art of improvisation through observation and contact improvisation with Daniel Lepkoff as well as many other improvisational artists including Steve Paxton and Nancy Stark-Smith. Brian has performed at The Kennedy Center, Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, DCAC, Jack Guidone Theatre, Art Farm, Theatre Project, Barneveldor Movement Arts Complex amongst other small and site specific venues. Brian has developed pieces both for the stage and for the camera and been presented throughout the DC area, Houston, Salt Lake City and New York City. He has worked as an electrician, lighting designer, sound board operator and stage manager in theaters and make shift performance spaces. For 5 years Brian worked as a property and events manager at Glen Echo Park. Where he also managed and help run a 1921 Denzel Carousel. Brian enjoys working with new ways in which unveil the human condition, the human theatre, specifically in relation to performance. He is currently a graduate student at Long Island University (Brooklyn Campus) in the New Media Art and Performance Program.
