Bio
Branko Miliskovic [Бранко Милисковић] was born in 1982 in Belgrade/Serbia. Born in Former Yugoslavia he was the last generation of Marshall Tito’s Pioneers. In 1989 Yugoslavia broke up and he has started his basic education passing through the period of isolation, embargo, inflation and devastation of his country. Miliskovic has passed through a rigorous traditional approach to the sculpture, drawing techniques as well as painting. Branko Miliskovic is faithfully dedicated to the Time Based Experiences ( Sein und Zeit ) following Martin Heidegger’s philosophy about (Being and Time) using his body as a main medium , establishing purified communication with the audience, creating live images and dealing with his national and emotive background. Miliskovic sees his work as a linear system of designated and highly self controlled situations in progression , through which he is passing , aiming to leave a permanent trace and bring his own standards. Branko Miliskovic is devoted to a long term works, living installation, video and film. Miliskovic also research the audience as a complex living machine, interested in behavior of individuals within the group/collective, resistance, confessions, psychological penetration, levels of concentration and attention as well as cooperation and loyalty. Lately he became very interested in issues of heroism, homelands, patriots and traitors, warriors, naturally over-temperamental points on the Earth..
