PANTA RHEI (2011-2012)

Performance cycle in seven parts
Asia, 2011-2012

"Panta Rhei" is the Greek expression for "Everything flows." The performance cycle in seven parts has been realised in 2011/12 touring Asia - with stations in Singapore ("Body"), Thailand ("Thoughts", "Convictions", "Relations"), Taipei ("Matter"), Seoul ("Time") and Hong Kong ("Systems"). The cycle investigates the impermanent states and the concept of change and transformation, referring not only to the transitory states of matter, life and relations, but also to the temporary nature of thoughts, convictions, systems and presumed orders. The question is if there is something indefinite to cling to, something undying to rely on, when all is altered within the course of continuous evolution.
