A Resource for Performing Artists, Scholars and Audiences.
Res Artis is the largest existing network of artist residency programmes, representing the interests of more than 300 centers and organisations in 50 countries worldwide that offer to international artists facilities and conditions conducive for making art.
Residency Unlimited is a year old non-profit service organization whose mission is to support artists and curators in residency and related art programs by operating across multiple platforms and draw from a broad network of local and international resources. Residency Unlimited seeks to explore new residency possibilities that go beyond the conventional circumscribed studio program model, and that range from fostering collaborative partnerships to engaging with artists whose practice is not necessarily studio based. Developing an online archive for critical input and discussion furthers our investigations on the evolving field of art residency today. We believe in the transformational potential of residencies for the creative development of artists, and their impact on local communities where those residencies exist.
Trans Artists is a knowledge centre on artist-in-residence opportunities. We offer you all about facts, use and value of international artist-in-residence programs as well as other opportunities for artists to stay and work elsewhere 'for art's sake'. Trans Artists operates mainly from the artists' perspective and usually cooperates with a wide range of partners in all world regions, increasingly more in depth within European countries. Trans Artists makes the enormous worldwide residential art labyrinth accessible and usable to the artists, through its website, newsletter, research and workshop programs.
