Hello

I am making, along with my collaborator Lisa, an interactive media piece based on symbolic gestures of control and capitalism. I.e. A highlight or a commentary on capitalistic symbols in modern day. Some symbols we are using have in the past been seen as repressive symbols... i.e. the Swastica.

Why we are focusing on this is a response to the recent riots in London due to rise in student fees and cuts in economy, the idea of cyber empires and public privacy, and the fall of them both.

I am to perform a live interactive piece in 2 parts, part 1 will be on the 25th of November 2011, and part 2 on the 6th of November 2011. There have been a few setbacks due to the ability of running programming software and finding space. So the pieces may or may not be presented in Drafts.

I will post videos of the pieces as they come. We are working with Kinect, the Xbox interactive camera input, and a couple of hand programmed software.

What I was hoping to get feedback on was recommendations on other artists who have successfully played out working with video. I've known this artist; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qp_8vJ8tJIU (Gideon Obarzank) as a main platform of my inspiration. Any others, local or worldwide, that anyone can recommend would be of help.
