 f September 2010\n\nThe 16th edition of the Performance Art Studies wo
 rkshop will take place from the 4th – 16th October 2010 in Kirschau 
 and Berlin in Germany.\n\nThe aim of this 12 day intensive workshop is
  for the participants to develop a performance art work, based on the 
 theme of the studies, which they will present in public performances i
 n Kirschau and Berlin.\n\nThese two places have strong connections to 
 performance art that we will use as the basis for our research and cre
 ative process.\n\nTHE WORKSHOP OFFERS:\n\n- Opportunity to develop a p
 erformance art work with technical, pedagogical and artistic guidance 
 from two professional performance art teachers\n- Performative exercis
 es in various conditions and locations (in and outdoor, focusing on: b
 ody, time, space, concentration, endurance, ... in groups and as indiv
 iduals)\n- Critical feedback on the ongoing creative process through i
 ndividual and group discussions\n- Public presentations of the perform
 ances in Kirschau, Leipzig and Berlin (advertised through media promot
 ion, posters, mailings etc.) and a final celebration party.\n- Video a
 nd photo documentation of the workshop made by Christopher Hewitt, pub
 lisher of liveartwork DVD (www.liveartwork.com)\n- Documentation publi
 shed on BBB Johannes Deimling’s and other performance art related we
 bsites\n- Contacts to artists, curators and art institutions in German
 y\n- Meet and cooperate with other like-minded people from a range of 
 countries\n- Working in locations with rich historical and cultural co
 ntexts\n- Free accommodation in Kirschau and Berlin (for 12 days)\n- F
 ree travel between Kirschau – Berlin\n\n\nPRACTICAL INFORMATION:\n\n
 - Price: €550 (£ 460, US$ 720, 750 CHF)\nThis price includes the co
 st of accommodation in Kirschau and Berlin for a period of 12 days plu
 s the cost of travel between Kirschau – Berlin.\n- For confirmed reg
 istrations before the 1st of September 2010, the workshop will cost on
 ly €500 (£ 418, US$ 652, 677 CHF)\n- We offer a limited number of g
 rants for participants with reduced income. If you receive this grant 
 (to apply for the grant please read the application form) the workshop
  fee will be €400 (£ 334, US$ 522, 542 CHF)\n- Teaching language is
  English\n- Participants must pay for their own artistic materials, fo
 od and daily expenses during the workshop\n- The workshop is open to a
 ll people, both emerging and established performance artists, as well 
 as students (minimum age 18 years)\n- The workshop will take place wit
