FRANK HOMEYER [GERMANY]
These performances are about controlled and uncontrolled emotions in the subconscious.
I develop my performances like a picture. Beginning with an idea or a subject I distribute the different elements in space and connect with time to shape the performance. It is important to me to include autobiographical references and to leave an opening for chance and improvisation in the process.
I developed performances as a main focus of my work, next to painting and photography. Acting and dance classes (Butoh) have fed into this work in the past.

ANYA LIFTIG [USA]
Anya Liftig is a nationally and internationally recognized performance artist. Her most recent work, The Anxiety of Influence, was an intervention into Marina Abramovic’s The Artist is Present retrospective at MOMA.
Liftig dressed as the elder artist and sat across from her all day.
Liftig’s work has been featured at the TATE Modern, Highways Performance Space, Exit Art, Chashama, Surreal Estate, Eyedrum, Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, Galapagos, The Flea, Yale University, INCUBATEChicago, University of Wisconsin, University of Chicago, Mess Hall, Joyce Soho and many other venues.

RAFAEL SANCHEZ [USA]

Rafael Sanchez (b. Newark, New Jersey, 1978) is a performance artist who often takes his work to the streets and other unconventional spaces.

In his performances, Sanchez frequently subjects his body to extreme stress and pain to materialize ideas of memory, spirituality and endurance. In an early work titled Back to Africa (2000), Sanchez wandered around New Jersey in white face, carrying a suitcase and waiting for a bus that never arrived. In a more recent work, Calienté/Frio (2007) the artist traced the migration process of two women from Cuba to America during the 1960s. The artist, dressed in a light colored suit and hat and carrying a packed suitcase, submerged himself in a tub of water that alternated between near boiling and below freezing as interviews with the two Cuban women played in the background.

TIMOTHY ATTICUS [USA]
My work explores the materiality of the human body to confront death, sex, and gender. I use various materials, such as: painted and dyed pleather, found objects, oil paints, graphite, and humans.
was born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1987 and lives as an artist in New York City. Atticus attends The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Arts and Sciences.
