Take the Space is a course in making theatre from scratch. Come and explore how to use the nuts and bolts of the actors body, the space and everyday objects to make theatrical magic. Develop your creativity in a playful and fun environment within the structure of timeless elements of what ‘just works’. The basis of the course comes from the foundation course at Lecoq but with a fresh slant and taught with a light-hearted, open and warm attitude.
If you want to make your own theatre and are interested in learning principles of movement and structure and in developing your creativity as a performer or director then this is the course for you.
There will be two evening classes starting in May at the Rag Factory.
Monday 7pm – 9pm
Friday 7pm – 9pm
‘Rebecca was an incredibly innovative and free thinking director who constantly pushed boundaries and encouraged her actors to explore new things and really fostered an experimental and open feel in the rehearsal room.’
Naomi Bullock, Spotlight prize winner 2009
