radius 10 to 15 v.1 is the first European contest for creating a short play for the radio.

Create an Accident embraces theatre and radio and invites artists from all over Europe to submit short-length, original, recorded radio plays.

The contest aims at promoting contemporary directions of theatrical writing, inspired by urban culture, through the form of a radio play -directions that will broaden our perception of theatrical, linguistic and sonic landscapes.

The contest will commence in August 2012 and end in April 2013. Throughout this period, selected material and essays on radio-plays will be featured on Create An Accident’s webpage. Plays that will be chosen will be presented in a special radio show on Mindradio station in May 2013 and will be published on cd, which will be available for free. 3 137 artist run space will host a public event for its publication. The choice of winning plays will be made by Create an Accident’s members, a selection of collaborators and the public.

The contest is held by Create an Accident platform in cooperation with Mindradio and 3 137 artist run space, under the auspices of cultural and academic commissions across Europe.
