One out of Ten comes from elsewhere. Where do you belong?
Between the Seas is proud to present One out of Ten, a contemporary play from Greece for the first time translated and presented in the US. Created collectively by a group of Eastern European actors in 2007, the play is a playful and exuberant exploration of immigrant experiences in Greece and one of the very first plays that appeared in the country to give voice to immigrant actors on a mainstream stage. In this production, a New York based multicultural cast recreates the play in a way that highlights the Greek reality while resonating with immigrant experiences the world over.
This production of One out of Ten is presented as part of Between the Seas Festival's mission to promote contemporary performance from the Mediterranean. For more information on the festival visit www.betweentheseas.org
