The exhibition liquidDocs_02: ÀNGELS MARGARIT_MUDANCES and presentation of the graphic design and publishing process for Bookmagazine liquidDocs_02, a special edition on choreographer Àngels Margarit_Mudances. With a performance by Àngels Margarit.

Dancer and choreographer ÀNGELS MARGARIT’s fascinating career got under way in the 1980s with a series of rigorously structured pieces and then blossomed to unfurl sensuous atmospheres, travelling from the energetic architecture of movement and minimalist rigour towards the sensuous space of the Mediterranean. Margarit has been a European pioneer right from the start and over the course of more than twenty-five years her benchmark pieces have enriched the avant-garde. This publication analyses her prolific, diverse career and reflects the power of her performance, her sophisticated choreography, her processes and work methods, and her constant urge to explore and conquer new areas for dance by pushing limits and places. For Margarit, dance reveals a space; it’s an art that lets us look, inhabit and experience a space. And dance is also a body’s memory and physical thought, as immediate and necessary as a sip of water when thirsty… and infinite, since every body is unique and different.

liquidDocs is a Bookmagazine: a multimedia publication, book_magazine_DVD. It was set up to explore contemporary interdisciplinary creations in the performing arts, live art, the body, space, time and movement. It ranges from the processes and work of creators and specialists to the network of centres, institutions and companies that house, produce and promote them.
